Small batch wines, made as a tribute to our patriarch, Edio Delfino

Often described as hardworking, intelligent, strong, sharp, and driven, Edio was passionate about agriculture as a way of life and instilled that into his entire family. Because of this, third-generation Delfino’s followed in his footsteps and got their degrees from Cal Poly SLO where they became immersed in the Central Coast wine industry. In 2017, they decided to move home to El Dorado County to start Edio Vineyards – focusing on fresh, balanced, alpine wines with a devotion to honoring the climate, soils, and, of course, their Delfino family.

For our Edio Tastings, we do recommend a tasting reservation during our busy Fall season. However, we do accommodate walk-ins whenever possible. Our food pairings and tours do require reservations ahead of time. We ask for no outside food in the tasting room, but have our very own Joan's Apple Bakery cheese boxes available.

Edio Tasting

Here at Edio Vineyards, we seek to give everyone a spectacular visit. When you arrive you will be seated overlooking our entire farm and expanding mountain views. We then will take you through our small lot wines and explain our family story along with how each wine was made. The experience is intimate, educational, and relaxing and you will never have to leave your seat!

Immerse yourself in the 60 year old family history and farm atmosphere while overlooking vineyard and orchard views from our private farm grounds and small mining shack. A seated experience for up to 8 guests. Sip on our reserve Commissioner wines while indulging in a farm-to-fork inspired grazing food spread from Joan's Apple Bakery.

2023 Sparkling Chenin Blanc

Our Extra Brut Sparkling Chenin Blanc is grown at Camino Alto Vineyard a mile up the road from our Estate. Stainless steel fermented and neutral French oak aged for 11 months.

2023 Albariño-SOLD OUT

New Vintage Coming Early 2025

Our Albariño is a light-bodied white wine with fresh acidity. Grapes are picked at a low pH to make this wine bright and refreshing. By stainless steel fermenting, we have created a crisp, aromatic wine perfect for hot days overlooking our vineyard and orchard.

2023 Robyn's Blend

Paying homage to our mother- Robyn. This blend is 60% Viognier, 35% Roussanne, and 5% Picpoul. Barrel fermented and aged in 15% new French oak barrels, this wine has a creamy mouthfeel with bright acidity and a toasty finish.

2023 Commissioner Oliver's Chardonnay

Paying homage to our start in the wine industry on the Central Coast. The fruit is sourced from Oliver's Vineyard in the Edna Valley and organically farmed by the Talley family. This 2023 Chardonnay is aged in 22% new French oak barrels. A balanced palate with creamy textures and citrus flavors.

2022 Grenache

Our Grenache was barrel-aged for 10 months in neutral French oak barrels. A fresh, bright, alpine red wine. The palate is fruit forward with notes of cedar and clove. Unfined and Unfiltered.

2022 Mourvèdre-SOLD OUT

New Vintage Coming Early November 2024

The Mourvèdre was bin fermented and barrel aged for 10 months in 45% new French oak. The palate has medium body with flavors of cinnamon, clove, and pine with a finish of fresh acidity and firm tannins.

2022 Primitivo-SOLD OUT

New Vintage Coming Early 2025

The Primitivo was barrel aged in 25% new French oak for 10 months. This wine showcases the local flora characteristic of "Sierra Spice" the most out of all of our wines. Aromas and flavors of black cherry, leather, pine, and cedar shine through. Unfined and Unfiltered.

2021 Commissioner Chêne Pinot Noir

Again paying homage to our time on the Central Coast, this Pinot Noir comes from biodynamic fruit in Edna Valley. Bin fermented with 15% whole clusters and barrel aged in 30% new French oak. This wine has aromas and flavors of cherry liquor, baking spices, and cola. Unfined and Unfiltered.

2021 Commissioner Frank's Rhône Blend

Estate Grown 54% Mourvèdre with 46% David Girard Vineyards Syrah. This Rhône blend is one of the mountain wines we dreamed about making. The Mourvèdre provides exceptional structure, the Grenache lifted aromas, and the Syrah provides depth and color. Barrel aged for 22 months in 50% new French oak. Unfined and Unfiltered.

2022 Commissioner Canavese Cabernet Sauvignon

Grown at Miller Vineyard in Alameda County. 100% destemmed and fermented in open top fermentors. Then, barrel aged in 25% new French oak for 12 months. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, we strive for a fruit forward, fresh Cabernet. Unfined and Unfiltered.
